In Windows 10 19H1, or version 1903 when it's released this year, Microsoft is introducing 'reserved storage', which will keep around 7GB of disk space -- but possibly more -- available purely so that updates can be installed smoothly.
The feature is enabled automatically on devices that ship with Windows 10 version 1903 and on clean installs of 1903. Users won't be able to remove reserved storage, but they can adjust the amount that is reserved, as explained below.
The latest version of Windows 10 1903 has been rolled out not long ago and many users have upgraded Windows 10 to the latest version. But now Microsoft has issued some warnings for users who want to upgrade to the Windows 10.
The Windows 10 version 1903 update, however, introduces the ability to pause feature and monthly updates from all editions. But IT pros can only delay updates for up to 35 days, and then they are required to update their devices.
Another issue has cropped up when USB devices, such as a printer or a thumb drive, are connected to a Windows desktop running Windows 1903. The update causes the Windows-assigned drive letters to rearrange. This could result in major issues for some organizations because the removal of the C or D drive causes some systems to not boot, according to Warren.
